Although the weather made Friday’s regional track meet at Shawnee Mission a little more challenging – forcing a rain delay and eliminating prelim races – Wamego High School qualified for 19 state events and the boys team placed second. The girls were fifth.

After a scheduled game against Chapman was unable to be played because of inclement weather, the Raiders were able to travel Friday to Alma to take on the Chargers instead, winning the game in a seven inning, 11-1 blowout.
