HUTCHINSON, Oct. 28 – The Rock Creek Lady Mustangs did not advance today out of pool play at the 4A State Volleyball Tournament.


Rock Creek’s football team continues to rack up accomplishments, as the Mustangs finished their regular season schedule Friday night with a win over district opponent, Concordia.

Four area teams have qualified for state as a result of cross country regionals and sub-state volleyball tournaments held this weekend.

Rock Creek head football coach Shane Sieben celebrated the first senior class to spend all four years under his tutelage, as his Mustangs picked apart the Clay Center Tigers at the Rock Friday night.

The Raider varsity and JV boys teams dominated last Thursday’s North Central Kansas Cross Country Meet held in Concordia.

Wabaunsee’s Payton Wurtz continued her cross country dominance, bringing gold from last Thursday’s Mid-East League Championship Meet, held at Silver Lake.

Jaydon Winans had his best game as a Mustang Friday night, as Rock Creek remained unbeaten in district play by grounding the Red Hawks of Hiawatha, 70-20, in road football action.
